Quality, Safety and Environment
Q Electrical Services employ a full-time team dedicated solely to the operations and implementation of QA and OH&S.
Quality
Q Electrical Services has achieved and maintained a Third Party Certified Quality Assurance System to the rigid standards of ISO 9001:2015. All projects are administered using this system with site-specific quality plans prepared and actioned for each project. Internal audits are undertaken by our in-house Quality manager on a regular basis.
Safety
Q Electrical Services are committed to and incorporate procedures necessary to fulfil the requirements in accordance with AS4801 and AS4804. Other systems undertaken and maintained by Q Electrical are as follows:
- Queensland Electrical Contracting Industry Code of Practice.
- Electricity Safety Act.
- Workplace Health and Safety Regulation.
- Accident Investigation and reporting.
- Workers Rehabilitation programme.
- Drug & Alcohol Abuse programme.
- Environmental Management System.
- First-Aid Training to Employees.
- Company and Site Inductions.
The primary safety objective of Q Electrical Services is to eliminate accidents in the workplace by developing a relationship where management and employees work together in a co-ordinated manner to achieve this goal.
This will provide a basis on which management and employees can discuss safety procedures and accident prevention measures; develop the awareness of both management and employees for the identification of potential hazards and, instigate the corrective actions necessary to eliminate accidents.
As a result of this co-ordinated approach to workplace safety, both management and employees will develop a greater awareness of safety which benefits the company in areas of productivity and morale.
The Environment
As a responsible company, Q Electrical Services is dedicated to protecting human health, natural resources and the local environment. The company is committed to assess the environmental impacts of its activities and to reduce these impacts through the establishment of appropriate objectives and targets.
In particular, Q Electrical Services will strive to achieve the following objectives through the continued execution of its Environmental Management System:
- Comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations and other requirements.
- Practice effective prevention of pollution, giving top priority to waste at the source, elimination or reduction of wasteful practices and recycling.
- Ensure that relevant controls are implemented and utilised for the protection of the quality of air, control of noise and protection of local flora.
- Minimise water usage.
